ACCOMMODATION

The recreation center is located in Birzgales parish (Ogres district), outside Riga, in a green area, surrounded by forests, village-like atmosphere, out of city noise – right on the bank of the Daugava River, almost opposite to one of its numerous tiny green islands.


We offer accommodation choices to suit all tastes: in one of the 10 hotel rooms (note that there’s a restaurant on the first floor of the mansion), in one of the three log cottages on the bank of the river, or in the multi-functional Russian bath cottage.


Each cottage consists of two floors: a sitting room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchenette (genuine pottery, glasses, tableware, microwave cooker, electric kettle, fridge), as well as WC, and modern shower downstairs and two not very big but extremely cozy bedrooms upstairs (four places to sleep on all in all, but there’s enough space to accommodate a more impressive company if needed).


To say that the window of the sitting room in each cottage almost covers the whole wall – from the tiled floor and up to the wooden ceiling – would be a minor exaggeration, because they’re really huge and offer a great view on the river and the picturesque opposite bank.

There is a balcony on the second floor of the remote cottage, where you can enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning and watch the distant stars at night. Besides, at the entrance to each of the cottages there’s a little terrace with benches to sit on in the sunshine on a nice day.

All cottages are equipped with a modern fire-alarm system.
The terrain here is hilly, which makes this place even more charming – the relatively large mansion with the restaurant and the hotel stands on the top of the hill and in order to reach the four cottages one has to move down the pathway leading to the river, through a modest garden, which is nevertheless rich in plant species.


HOTEL

Hotel offers accommodation choices in one of the 10 hotel rooms (note that there’s a restaurant on the first floor of the mansion). The terrain here is hilly, which makes itself even more charming – the relatively large mansion with the restaurant and the hotel stands on the top of the hill so you’ll be able to enjoy the peaceful view. Stylized interior and furniture- each item is invoked to create harmony and good mood of the inhabitants. Each room has a bath room with shower and TV. You can have a wonderful meal in the restaurant on the first floor of the hotel.

COTTAGES


Every single thing in here, is to increase the comfort of the visitors and create a homely atmosphere. The carefully designed interiors, touching details like the vase with fresh flowers on the table in the sitting room, the light honey-like wood in the d?cor of the cottages, stylized furniture – each item is invoked to create harmony and good mood of the inhabitants.

You don’t need to worry about such practical things as dishware, kitchen facilities, towels, bedclothes or firewood –we have already taken care of all these earthly aspects.

The huge window of the first floor faces the river: talking to friends in the sitting room you’ll be able to enjoy this peaceful view; from the windows of the second-floor bedrooms you can see the garden and the variety of plant species it shelters.

RUSSIAN BATH COTTAGE


The Russian bath cottage consists of two floors – the Russian bath itself, a shower, WC, a sitting room with a fireplace and a large table (for 15 persons), a kitchenette equipped with basic dishware and devices, stereo system, and karaoke are downstairs; two bedrooms (for two persons each) are upstairs. The interior d?cor of the cottage is homogenous – genuine wood, pottery, stylized furniture, which seems to be a successful combination of our environmentally sound past and the comforts and amenities of modern life.

Those eager to make use of the Russian bath can put all the worries aside as concerns such bath accessories as towels, sheets or slippers – everything will be ready when you arrive. It is possible to buy a birch broom and aromatic oils right in the recreation center – the complete set of bodily and mental pleasures close to nature and in a comfortable and homely atmosphere.

Those who like all kinds of natural things can take a dip in the river after the bath, and in winter – take a plunge in an ice-hole (descending is extremely easy since the pier is equipped with a functional ladder).

SERVICES

Accommodation:

You can choose a comfortable room in our newly rebuilt hotel or one of the log cottages. There is a protected parking space by the mansion for the guests.

Food:
there is a restaurant of traditional Russian and Latvian cuisine on the first floor of the hotel. Moreover, the three cottages are equipped with all necessary devices for cooking and setting the table. You can also take a meal in the summerhouse perfectly fit for barbecuing and grilling. The choice is yours!

Entertainment:
you can rent a jet-ski or a boat for aquatic recreational activities; water ski – for the daring, fishing tackle – for the peaceful. The riverbank has been cleared of large stones and water grass, the gentle profile of the river bottom makes it fit for swimming.

Just several tens of meters away from the village, in the center of the river, a small green island sticks out of the water. You can safely go there at any time and explore!

It is also possible to play badminton, ping-pong or different kinds of ball games on the green lawn.
How you organize your here and what activities you choose is just a matter of your own mood and imagination – You can spend some time here in almost absolute privacy or have fun with your friends and family – where else can you go with all members of your household?
